Overview
MyCodeNest ("we", "our", "us") publishes free educational content and developer tools at https://mycodenest.in. This page explains what information is collected when you use the site and how it is used.
Information we collect
The site does not have user accounts. We collect only the following:
- Contact form. If you send a message, your name, email address and message are stored by Netlify's form handling and also passed to Web3Forms, an email delivery service that forwards the message to us. We use this information only to answer you.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider, Netlify, may log technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
Data that stays in your browser
Some features save data in your own browser using local storage. It is never sent to our servers:
- your light or dark theme choice;
- your work in the online code editor and the auto-save in some tools, so you can continue later.
The developer tools (code editor, JSON formatter, regex tester, colour converter and character counter) run entirely in your browser. The text and code you enter are not uploaded. You can clear this data at any time from your browser settings.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use MyCodeNest, such as which pages are read and which countries visitors come from. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and may collect information such as your approximate location, device, browser and the pages you visit. We use this data only in aggregate to improve the site.
You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. To learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Advertising
The site does not currently show third-party advertising. If we start to show ads, this policy will be updated before they appear, to explain what the advertising provider collects, including any use of cookies.
Third-party links and embeds
Some pages link to other websites such as YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them.
Children's privacy
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

You can ask us to delete a message you sent through the contact form, or ask what we hold about you, by writing to us through the Contact page.
